There was RSS Feed on this article a couple of days ago. Still she now joins the Group W bench of thru-hikers.

She finished at Katahdin on June 10th and 14 other NOBO thru-hikers had already finished before her! It seems like the number of early birds is increasing at an even higher rate than overall thru-hiker numbers.

If she was in such a hurry why didn't she just drive there?
I thought the plan was to start slow and then go slower. I'd better rethink this thing.
When I'm on my deathbed and my life flashes before my eyes, I want to enjoy every moment in slow motion.
I bet she can't pump gas.
Gas stations in NJ are all full service. You don't pump your own. Of course neither does my wife. ⭐️

No idea at all. I thought it was a rather modest pace, too.
that was good time for the early start - likely no extended run of tough weather conditions
IMO if you want a 4 1/2 month schedule (and do not much mind the heat) a May 1 start would give the lowest chance of weather delays
