Default Favorite and Lightest Cook pot for 2

I am interested in seeing what other folks are using for a 2 person set up for their cooking, specifically the cooking pot as we are trying to shave a few ounces if possible. We are already using an alcohol stove ,2 plastic tea cups and sporks. We have a 2L pot with a lid that doubles as a frying pan which comes in at 8 oz. Anything lighter with decent capacity?

Kmart grease pot holds 4 cups if that's enough for the two of you.

Do you think you could go with less volume and dispense with the frying pan? 2 liters is actually rather large for 2 people.

If not, 8 oz for that combo is about the lightest you're going to find. What are you currently using?

One of the lighter combos around is the Evernew 1.9l with frypan lid and it weighs 9.8 oz.........

HI Zelph, your stove I bought in 2011 is still holding up great and still our stove of choice!!! We eat a pretty large hot meal so I would have to experiment with a much smaller pot first to see. Cmoulder, I would definitely be able to get rid of the frying pan lid, barely used it, but would still most likely need a lid for efficiency (I think?).

I have the titanium version of this MSR Quick Solo. I don't know why they ditched the titanium years ago, yet this aluminum version is still for sale.

Open Country 2Quart. Seems they only sell the non-stick these days, I have the older plain aluminum.

I love my Snowpeak 1400 ti pot when cooking for two people. The Four Dog Stove lid is a must-have, allowing you to ditch the fry pan lid if your menu doesn't call for a fry pan. Add to it the SP ti bowl. The bowl nestles inside the pot, hanging from the rim, and allows you to do dry baking as well. Fresh chocolate chip muffins for breakfast are the bomb!
