Default Looking for parting gift ideas for girlfriend.

It's a long time to be apart from my girlfriend. I'd like to do something special. Maybe also carry something along the entire trail. Any neat ideas out there?

    a few ideas:

Have her pick out a small object(lightweight) that you include in all the pictures you take.
Bonus if you have her spray it with her perfume so you can sleep with it.

Before you leave set up gifts to be delivered to her at least weekly. Have a friend or family deliver it for low cost but have it done at her work so everyone sees how much you care for her.

Leave love notes around the house in her purse in the freezer at the bottom of the cereal box

Richard you sound just like an old romantic. The only other thing I can think of 8is one of those teddy bears that let you record a message. Try not to make it cliche (I Love you, I'm gonna miss you) make it very personal. Some thing that only the two of you shared and only you two know about. MMMM Guess I better go to the florist.

Go to Swiss Army Knife web page, look for Tweezerman Key Essentials Pocket Multi-Tool. Tiny thing, very useful on on a thru hike. High quality and sharp, it will last a lifetime.

You could carry an engagement ring but that's extra weight
