Default Water & Camping pads in MA

I looked at the PDF that's available for MA but that only outlines shelters.

How can can I see water supply areas and designated camping?

i am starting at Beartown State Forest and headed north.

    Thanks!

There are only two tent only sites from Beartown to VT, Shaker campsite (7.4 M north of Beartown Mtn Rd) and Crystal Mnt campsite (0.2 miles from tail and water) 4.6 miles south of Cheshire. Other then those two, you must camp at shelter sites, which typically have water near-by. Your crossing a lot of farms and private land on a narrow corridor through most of MA.

Thank you. Any thoughts on obtaining a detailed map showing water/shelters?

You can order maps from the ATC ( www.appalachiantrail.org ) Or get a guide book, like the AWOL AT guide or white pages, or the ATC companion or the Guthook AT Guide app for your phone.

As long as you don't actually want to punish anybody, I'd be willing to lend you my paper maps if you're anywhere near my area. Zip me a PM if you want.
