I totally agree. For the rare times when you want to hike the desert in the winter the Catalyst won't fall apart or try to cripple you loaded to it's maximum (or a bit more) capacity.

Has anyone reviewed or tried the My Trail packs? Just wondering if they would work for long section hikes. Great price right now, so it makes me want to try the 50 L.

Just sold my Circuit. Not enough capacity and never felt Cole comfortable. Just purchased an Osprey Exos 58. $185 on Amazon. See this for a great review.

I looked into them. I was thinking of buying their 70L. I measured my torso and contacted their customer service because my torso length fell between two sizes. I found out the pack torso length is not adjustable. That was a deal breaker for me. I sold my Circuit and just bought an Osprey Exos 58. The Circuit is a nice pack but I never got used to having no ventilation or space between the pack and my back. There were a few other things I found annoying but that was the main one.
