I will be using an MSR HUBBA NX tent and a Thermarest Neo Air XLite sleeping pad. Generally speaking, will this be sufficient? I'm considering dropping some serious coin on a WM 20 degree bag but I already own the quilt.

you'll be fine. might need something warmer for up north at the time in the season, but you can cross that bridge when you get there.
Should be good. If it's looking cold still in April, you could bring some extra insulation (puffy, etc) to get by then send it home.
I will mention that you could be pretty uncomfortable a few nights in a cold snap if you don't have a puffy, beanie, etc, and are a cold sleeper...
So I wouldn't recommend going "ultralight" on your clothing if you're cutting it close with the bag for the first month or so

I did it. A few nights I had to wear all my clothes to keep warm but it was doable.
