You read it right but if you read their blog they have moved from Greenville to Roanoke. Apparently Outside missed that fact.

I believe it is a sloppy mistake by the author of the article, as there are no direct quotes. The couple grew up in Roanoke, very close to the AT, and currently live there, having moved back from SC.

In my mind, the only one exposed is the ignorant writer.

Very possible to make a go of it if they can handle the pack/baby weight and take their time. I would imagine they'll get tired of it long before they finish though

It is good that they're doing a flip/flop. Wouldn't want a baby in the bubble or forced to stay in a full shelter in the smokies (for everyone involved)
