Default Section to NOC (question about where to stay in that area)

Howdy... We'll be doing a 1-week section to NOC in June and looking for a place to kick our feet up, shower and sleep well, raft for a day, and recharge before driving back to Texas. Many thanks for any suggestions!

Staying at the NOC is certainly one option, however, it may be a pricey one. Call in advance and see what they have. There is also a place down the road (south/west) about 1 mile....I forget the name of it, but the kind folks at NOC will put you in contact with them if you ask. The owner of that place will even pick you up/drop you off from/at the NOC and he also owns a pizza joint (not connected to the property). It was relatively cheap, VERY quiet, a great night sleep for me and my son last summer. Wish I could remember the name of it, but hopefully that's enough to send you in the right direction. From one Texan to another......
