I was going to skip the approach too but honestly if I do the whole thing I don't want to feel like I need to go back and do it. Baptism by fire!

thats fine if you feel the need to do it, but the approach is not part of the AT. AT starts at the top of Springer.

I was planning on starting early march, but logistics and finance dictate I will not be able to start until mid April. I'll be starting April 17th. See you guys at trail days I suppose!

For recent TJ entries, it sounds like it's getting busy down there already. And a cold start with the artic blast this weekend, but it shouldn't last long. We'll be back into the 40's here in NH by Tuesday.
