    Default Harper's Ferry lodging choices?

I'll be heading to Harper's Ferry, W.VA in April 2017, attending the annual Flip Flop Festival, then hiking Nobo to Maine. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of a place to stay for a couple nights during the Festival. I know there are numerous B&Bs, hotels, hostels. I appreciate any insight so I might get a room now.

I have stayed at the Towns Inn a few times. They have a hostel room and B&B type rooms. Nice folks. Caters to adults.

I have stayed at the Tea Horse Hostel twice. From my experience I would recommend it highly. Probably going to be packed in April for the FFF. But that is pure speculation on my part. Their website is: http://www.teahorsehostel.com/. Currently closed for the winter, reopens in March. But you could try their contact info. in the interim - phone: (304) 535-6848 email: [email protected]

And the Teahorse is one of the cleanest hostels you'll ever stay.

I stayed at the Teahorse twice for the kick offs, 2016 and 2015. Made reservations about a month in advance.

Rented a car from Enterprise in Charles Town - they come to the ATC HQ to pick you up and drop you off. ATC has a discount for AT hikers.

Stayed at the Motel 6 in Charles Town:

Recently - 2016 - remodeled and was reasonable at that time. Wal-Mart in walking distance, NUMEROUS fast food places, etc. But you have a car, so options are expanded.

Stayed at the econo lodge in HF prior to my 2015 section hike. The place was just fine and within reasonable walking distance of ATC HQ and down town HF. Hope this helps.

Lightbulb Stayed in Harper's Ferry area twice

This place is just a five minute walk from The Trail:

    This place is also close

but getting from The Trail to this hostel will be problematic.

The Econolodge is right off of 340 but the address is 25 Union Street.

There is also a Clarion Inn just south of here at 4328 William L Wilson Fwy.
The Clarion is right by the Harpers Ferry park enterance on 340.

The Clarion has a nice lounge with good food and live music on the weekends.
It is called the White Horse Lounge.
There is also a fly fishing outfitter in the same parkkng lot; The White Fly Outfitter.

As mentioned, about 5 miles up the road there is a motel 6. Plenty of food / shopping options near the motel 6 including, Walmart, Food Lion, Dollar Tree, pizza, Mexican restaurant, and an urgent care. There is also a 7-11 that sells beer, wine and liquor.

If you need any other details let me know. This is the closest Walmart to my house so we are over that way frequently.

Thanks all. My goal is to secure a spot for two of us during the FFF, then start hiking, so proximity to the Trail is key. I do like all the choices, and I'm sure one of them will work out. Thanks again for specifics.

Charlestown is just down the road and has plenty of hotels. If you need a ride give me a yell.
