I'll see you all late Feb 2018. All we have to do is just keep walking, right?

That's pretty much it, yeah. Keep walking no matter the weather. Keep walking through hunger. Keep walking irrespective of the vagaries of gear. Keep walking despite injuries. Just keep walking.

    Really now.
You don't think I know that? Despite my minimal on-line activity I am no novice.
How precise must I be here to avoid feeling I've slighted someone?

No problem. Developing thicker skin is just part of the through-hike prep.

Thank-you, good people...i got so wrapped up in "anti-troll" that I became one! A lesson learned.
I humbly look forward to further exchanges with y'all as we aproach the start of our hikes.

Hi! I'm Kristi, but everyone calls me Vixxen. I am planning a March 19th start for my thru-hike attempt - the day after my birthday. I would enjoy meeting people and sharing a meal or two, some stories, and laughs along the trail.

Default Leaving Springer Mountain March 1, 2018

I am heading out on the trail at attempting to thru hike March 1. I hope to be able to finish in July on my 50th birthday. Looking forward to seeing and meeting everyone. I will be hiking alone and I still don't have a trail name.

I already bought my plane ticket and have my travel and lodging arrangements with hikerhostel.com paid for. FYI, if anyone is going to use them, they increased the pricing for the thru-hiker special for next season.

The good news for you is that the shuttles start February 15.
    Got your winter gear together?
    Have fun.
