Thanks to all for the advice. Convinced my college age son to do a few days with me in early June and booked for SoBo from Mizpah > Zealand Falls > Galehead > Greenleaf > shuttle > car @ Highland Center. Looking forward to it.

Where do you plan on starting? Mizpah Springs hut is almost above treeline.

Take the 9AM hiker shuttle to the top of Mt Washington ($20) and hike from there over to Mizpah would be a good way to do it.

Planning to leave the car at Highland Center and hike up from there.
