#1 Money to increase my ability to spend more time on the trail
#2 Time to spend on the trail once I have enough money to pull it off

    #3 I have everything I need, but, a big gear wish? . . . Either a cuben tarp or mid, or an ultralight 900+ fill 30-40 degree quilt . . .
    I'm not lost. I'm exploring.

CF tarp from Hammock Gear. Black Friday may be a very expensive one this year!

Human to animal language translator. "don't mind me Mrs. Bear" or "Hello pack of mountain lions, fancy a game of cribbage?"

Brooks Cascadia 2189 Trail Runners... AND a airline ticket to NZ with a carrier that serves a catered breakfast while seated next to a human to animal translator that has a magic weight loss pill.....

Honestly the farther I travel down this backpacking rabbit hole, the less I am attracted to expensive gear. I like having less stuff in my pack and like having less expensive stuff that I don't need to worry about destroying.

On the other hand I am also halfheartedly dabbling in mountaineering and a -20 degree western mountaineering bag would be real nice for the occasional real cold trip.

That would be a necessity not a luxury.

Still missing a water purification system, that would be nice!

However its a lean year for all, so I only asked for a gift membership to the ATC, and FLT this holiday season. And some gift cards from the outdoor stores I go to.

How about a shell that is light, truly waterproof, and highly breathable (no vents needed) at all times?
