I'll "vouch" for this set, which I have, but without dust covers. To me (I enjoy history), these two books are amazing stories of hiking the AT in the "early" days.

Ewker, if I didn't already have mine, I'd be snatching up these immediately!

Thanks Rain Man. It is a hard decision to sell them but it is time to pass these on to new folks to enjoy reading about what the AT was like.

Would you be willing to share why you believe your used book is worth ~3x as much as a used book in "very good" condition?

Buyers, be aware that you can buy seller's used 2-book set for $35, or you can get any number of good to very-good condition used copies on amazon (including shipping) for $10 or less.

I've previously asked why the seller thought his books are worth 3x-4x higher than amazon. No response yet, so the motto "a fool and his money are soon parted" comes to my mind. I recommend potential buyers exercise caution and determine why the price seller's price is so high.

Seems to me a man can price his goods at what he values them at. He is not obliged to sell them at market value or at a value deemed fit by others. You kinda look like a douche being the price police. One post was sufficient to get your point across, which I'm sure was appreciated by all, but now you are just badgering the man.

What dc said!!!! Nothing worse than the price police. If you don't like the price why waste your time or concern with trying to blast someone and hurt their sale. I have used this site of and on for a lot of years and I am fairly certain that most on here are well aware of the existence of Amazon and search engines.

I'm so sorry that I offended someone on the internet...

Just as the OP is free to post on here asking for whatever price he wants for his wares, I also am free to post my feedback on his asking price and question why he's price it as he has. I'm disappointed (though not surprised) to see that some folks cannot (or choose not to) differentiate between raising concerns and personally attacking someone on the internet. Guess I'll go back to hiking where the things around me don't get riled up at perceived injustices...

Here's a good deal on a book about backpacking, available through Amazon. Maybe the OPs prices are more fair than some think...

PS - If you use 1 click shopping on Amazon, use extreme care when viewing this item.
