Not in 2 years. I was supposed to hike 2 years ago and things happened. House caught fire and had a full rebuild from the studs up and shattered my heel a few weeks after.

    Approach Trail - Undecided

Bringing my pup along. She's an 11 year old 10 pound Miniature Pinscher named "Pbo-Pbo" (Korean) who goes by "Blind-spot" out on the trails She's hiked over a hundred miles with my over the years and has 2,200 pent up waiting to go! I've been wanting to do a thru-hike for as far back as I can remember and I won't do it without her. I'll carry her every step of the way if I have to
Ok, I read up on the approach trail and now know what it is. I had never heard of it before and only knew of the 1 mile there and back to the "start". I will NOT be doing the approach trail. My wife will be doing the 1 mile with me and if I tried to get her to do the 8 miles of approach and then back on her own she would kill me Plus like many have said is it not long enough already?!?

I won't be hiking the approach but I plan on taking as long as I want and seeing whatever sights peak my interest. Adventure is calling!
    UPDATE!

Tuns out that I have family living about a half hour from the Trail Head so I guess I will be doing the approach. And I might start a bit early depending on how antsy I get.

Congrats to both! Getting out of the service was sweet sorrow but sometimes it's nice to not have to do PT every morning Getting married to your best friend is even better, I did that about 10 years ago and even though we have our disagreements it's always worth it in the end!
