I called the atc and they haven't opened 2017 registration yet that's why it's all "no" right now.

The spreadsheet is ready for viewing. You can see it here or find it from the homepage, left pane, click on 'Appalachian Trail', then 'WhiteBlaze Thru Hikers' and then 'Class of 2017'.

Let me know if there are any errors or omissions or updates.

Good Luck and Have Fun everyone!

    See you on the trail,

    Yes for approach.
I've done quite a bit of hiking, but always in a large group and usually just a couple days or so. Longest Trip was 10 days at Philmont, New Mexico. Can't wait to be able to Hike My Own Hike!

Trail Name: I don't have one yet, but looking forward to seeing what it might turn out to be!
    Direction: NOBO
Estimated Start Date: April 3, 2017
Approach Trail - heck yes! I've heard there are WATERFALLS!

Hi fellow thru hike attempters! Wishing you the best of luck on preparing, and lots of adventures and successes during your hike!

I attempted to hike from New York to Maine with my ex gf in 2010, but had to get off due to some ill-fitting boots that had just gone too far in their damage (properly fitting shoes are SO IMPORTANT). But the AT put the hiking bug in me, and I've been hiking ever since. But now I'm ready, ready not only to hike that ~800 miles, but the whole thing!

I'm currently residing in Houston, TX. I'm also training to run in the Houston marathon in January. When I'm not running, hiking or working, I'm avidly writing or reading, or practicing human suspension. My interests run the gammit!

I'm so eager to be on the trail.. I've got a few personal goals to accomplish while out there and I'm looking forward to all the adventures and people that I will meet on this great adventure!
