Yesterday was National Trails Day and I headed out to the 17.5 mile Loyalsock Link Loop, one of my favorite hikes. This is the perfect overnight or weekend backpacking trip, or long dayhike. It has it all- views, big rocks, waterfalls, streams, swimming holes, a pond, and great campsites. What I really love about this hike are the extensive hemlock forests with moss and ground pine. The woodland hiking is beautiful.

    Thanks for the Pics!
Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.

One of my favorites too. The climb out of World's End (going clockwise) was more challenging than I expected!

    Aw! good memories.
I hiked that trail back in the early 80's. (or was it late 70's?)
Still remember Porky's den and some of those broken rock walls.
    Good stuff.
    Thanks

Beautiful pictures! Was just up at Loyalsock Creek a couple of weeks ago, will have to check out that Loop next time. On the way home, heavy rain followed by a beautiful rainbow along the Susquehanna near Liverpool.IMG_1416erainbow.jpg
