    Default Cost of a Sobo PCT hike

    I don't need any stinkin luxuries , with that being said what is a typical "on trail" excluding gear, budget for soboing the PCT?

    Just like on the AT, budgeting $1000/month is a good idea, and another $1000 contingency fund would be another good idea. Your cost will depend on your style and hiking speed. Typical lore is you'll spend more than on the AT because of the higher prices at mountain resort towns. If you're good at dodging luxuries, that may not affect you so much. If you can avoid VVR, you'll save hundreds right there. If you can stay healthy, hike on a low snow year, keep a good steady pace, you'll have a cheaper hike. Too many variables to predict your cost.
