    Thumbs up Halfway hike start

So I want to hike the last half of the trail this year nobo, starting roughly mid July. Just wondering what a good place to start off from would be. Not only somewhere easy to get to, but also a spot that would be a good finish point in the future, for completing the second half of the trail nobo. From the very minimal research I'v done as of yet, I'm going to guess somewhere near Lake Tahoe? Any suggestions would be great! Thanks

It's easy to get to Donner Pass - Greyhound from Reno to Truckee (or train or bus from SF or Oakland or Sacramento to Truckee) then easy hitch to the pass or take Truckee town bus to Donner Lake and hitch from there

I actually did a bunch of research last night and decided on that exact route to the trail! Thanks lucky man for reaffirming that plan. Happy trails!

I'm in a similar boat but want to start south of Yosemite. Would hwy 120, mile 942 be an easy spot to start? I'm thinking early to mid July, but honestly I'm just starting to research the PCT, so I'm in that "overwhelmed, have-no-idea-where-anything-is-on-this-trail" spot.
I just flip-flop thru-hiked the AT in 2015, have been working on the AT as a ridgerunner since then, and now that I"m having a hard time finding something to come next, I'm toying with the idea of hiking the last 1,700 or so miles of the PCT....

Tuolumne Meadow is what I'm thinking as a starting point. How the hell does one pronounce that, anyway?
