Price Chopper in North Adams, MA closed

Price Chopper Supermarket in North Adams is closed. Head west on Rt. 2 to Stop and Shop instead for resupply. Heading East into North Adams will bring you to Big Y, but 2+ miles away.

Thought I had heard about that but not thinking of it in terms of those hiking. I'd guess it was not worth keeping or too hard to expand (being a smaller location) as they convert them to the Market 32 branding?

Probably just as good, as the S&S is a bigger store (likely to have more choices) and not a huge difference in distance (though perhaps less options for eating aside from the store, unlike the PC)?

Sadly, the PC was in a plaza with a laundromat and an AYCE buffet. However the Stop and Shop is next to Pappa Johns ( hiker discount last year) and a package store. All are about a half mile west of the Trail.
