Permit Hard Copy?
Does anyone have the printable final version of their permit (vs the application receipt) ?
Got it today.
YUP. Got mine today. Start date is May 5th. Cinco de Mayo.
If I can't carry it in my heart or on my back, I really don't need it.
Haven't got my permit yet...but I did get a thank you letter in the mail today for a donation I made at the same time I applied for a permit.

Do you have to have a hard copy or can you just show a digital copy of it on your phone?

After you have applied: Once your permit application is processed, your permit will be emailed to you. You must print it out. It is required that you carry a physical, paper permit with you on the trail. Digital versions are not allowed.
I am kind of confused, maybe cause im from Georgia. I do a lot of section hikes on the trail here in Ga. Do you need a permit if your from out of state? Or do you need a permit if you are thru hiking? I could probably research this, but i rather have it in lamen terms.
