Cool 48 Days, Anxious and ready

Wow, so I'd never count this a pregame jitters, more like tinkering with your fantasy football team. So ready to start hiking, is it normal to be overly anxious? 48 days and counting. . .

I feel the same. All I can do is try and keep busy. My last day at the casino is the 29th so I will not have that noise to deal with much longer. Thinking of going out on a few shake downs to trim off a bit of this desk job fat before I hit the trail in march.

yes, 43 days for me. Cant wait. Starting to get a little jittery that something(injury etc.) will pop up causing a delay.

Yeah but after a few days you'll wonder what all the fuss was about. I remember all the months of stress and worrying if everything was just right prior to my hike. Now I could be ready to go in an afternoon. For the most part it's just a series of three to five day hikes strung together. No biggie.

Same here, down to about 35-40 days as my window depending on weather. I did manage to re-injure a knee. I had surgery on it years ago and every now and then it just goes sideways on me. I am concerned about it, I will be really frustrated if it holds me up. I don't even know how I hurt it. Maybe I reached for the toilet paper to quickly . . . Happens when you reach 60.

It's 43 days till our next little weekend section hike. Thinking about it, getting closer to that day, making plans, looking at the map or trail guide for the 50th time - yeah, we get a little excited. That's why we hang out on WB when we're not hiking. In a couple weeks I'll probably start making up a food list or gathering the clothes I'll take, not because I need to, but because I'm full of anticipation and doing those little things is fun and builds up the excitement level.

We have a couple of longer trips later in the year. I think about them every single day.

47 days, man that's a lot of time, whata ya gona do? You could open and close a restaurant and declare bankruptcy, you could go on tour with your favorite rock band, hell you could fall in love at least three times (at least I could...depending on when there birthdays are). Don't waste your precarious time sittin' around, go hike already!
