Woody Gap to Unicoi Gap

Planning a three day trip. Wondering if there are any trails between low gap and blue mountain that lead out (to shorten trip if needed).

We will be using two vehicles for transport so parking will be needed. Can anyone help? Furthest I have been in this section is hogpen gap.

There is. At Chattahoochee Gap the AT forks right but another trail goes straight ahead called Jack's Gap Trail. That trail will take you down to Hwy 180 at the base of Brasstown Bald. It's about 2-2.5mi trail. In the grand scheme of things, it only shaves a couple of miles as it's about 4-4.5mi to Unicoi at that point. I've heard there's a side trail opposite the turn off to Low Gap Shelter that is used by trail crews. I've not seen it but honestly was not looking for it very hard. I seem to have read that it's not obvious.
