Thread: Stove question

  1. #1

    Default Stove question

I was wondering if this would be possible. So I already own a Jetboil MiniMo. I have seen the Jetboil Sol Ti pot for sale online. Could I use the burner assembly from my highly efficient MiniMo and the pot from the UL Sol?

I believe that all the Jetboil cups/pot bases are compatible with all their burners (base camp model not included).

I'd think so, based on the description of the 1L Tall Spare Cup which should be the same size as the Sol Ti.

Sorry, looks like the Sol Ti is actually the .8L size. Same thing applies, though.

Just keep in mind that the Time pots are only good for boiling water. You don't want to do things like melt snow. For some upidsta reason, when they made the Ti pots, they still used aluminum for the fins. Get the pot too hot and the aluminum fins break off the Ti pot.

You might want to look into finding the Aluminum version of the SOL pot if you need more flexability than just boiling water.

It's compatible with each other as the descriptions in the product details:
"Compatible with Luna, Zip, Flash, Flashlite, MicroMo, MiniMo and Sumo cooking systems"

JetBoil sells 0.8 liter and 1 liter short spare cups. Better than taking a chance on a trashed Sol Ti cup from unknown sources to save an ounce.

The ti pots have had a problem with meltdown, that’s why they were discontinued. But a spare Micromo pot instead.

I own the all aluminum SOL. The pot is 0.8 liters. The SOL TI pot has the same capacity.
