Default Will you let the spirit of the AT and NP's into your heart and soul?

When you experience the AT and NP's have you considered they were created and currently exist through an almost miraculous level of cooperation, work, patience, support, and self sacrifice from SO MANY? Will your own AT and NP experiences continue to represent that spirit of cooperation, self sacrifice, and consideration of others? Will you choose to humble yourself by representing that attitude in your behavior when enjoying the AT and NP's to the betterment of all?

Or, will you choose to exhibit an extravagant level of self absorption in your behavior?

An excellent question posed and one that deserves serious consideration. This probably should be periodically placed in the Class of **** threads for NOBO, SOBO, and Flips.

    Nice work.

Someone scratched the surface of this very subject a week or two ago regarding continued stewardship of the future AT among the millennials and Gen Y crowd. Will they be empowered to carry the torch that has been carried down from the baby boomer generation (1946-1964) . Will today's individualistic mindset become tommorrow's great leaders that can assume the demand of maintaining our National Parks and trail systems. Should we be concerned ?
Getting lost is a way to find yourself.

Good question. I think being out in nature does tend to bring out these qualities in most people (not all but most).
If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.
