:banana Sawyer Squeeze Gravity System Mod

Got a new video up on my Youtube Channel about turning a Sawyer Squeeze into a Gravity Feed System for more Efficient Filtering while on the trail. I'm sure most of you know about doing this & I'm sure there are other ways of doing it, but this is what I did on the trail a 1/4 way thru my hike & it really helped make my filtering more efficient. Hope it Helps!

    Nice,

I do a similar approach with the Sawyer 3-1 and either a Evernew 2l bag or MSR 4l bag depending on group size. I also have a short piece of tubing with a plastic shutoff below the filter so you don't have to drain the bag empty. It's a great approach, especially when in camp. I do like the large opening on the Platypus bag, the Evernew is much smaller and can be troublesome to refill under some circumstances.

The 3-1 is a much more robust filter than the mini and will filter lots of water without backflushing.
