Default Is it too early to talk about trail days 2016?

I have never been to trail days but i've heard plenty of amazing things about it. I plan on driving up from Fl and also doing a little hiking at that time. Anyone else planning on attending next year??

Trail Days is a great way to connect with the hiking community . There are workshops offering lots of knowledgeable people sharing good information . Lots of vendors come to this every year and you might get a chance to win hiking gear if you should get so lucky.

If you have 2 weeks to hike in from Hot Springs, join me. I will leave about 30 April to arrive Trail Days Friday 12 May.
Average about 14 miles a day.

I'm planning to walk in from Grayson Highlands area on AT/Creeper, then check out the Iron Mountain Trail on the way back out of town. Hoping to see some familiar 2015 faces! -Slow Ride

I just don't see why so many people want to hike a few days to weeks just to get to Trail Days. Trying to look like a real LDX hiker? IMO it's way too crowded and one reason many people hike is to avoid crowds. The best way to learn about hiking is to get out, hike and meet other hikers on the trail, not at a big party.
Sleep on the ground, rise with the sun and hike with the wind....

It helps ease the parking situation in town. If you hike in you can stay at the Place. Without a car you can go camp with the crazies.
