    Default Wilderness Survival Pages

I recenty added 50 pages on wilderness survival to my site, aimed especially at ultralight backpackers, and would love it if I could get some feedback from a few of you. (Moderator: I understand if you delete this post, as it IS self-serving, but there really is no sales pitch and only google ads on the pages.) Thanks for any suggestions.

I don't know man.... I think you might be in violation of many US FDA laws.

    Thanks!

Mochilero, I would suggest you either cut or add a comment around the Mollusk section. Most Freshwater mussels are endangered. Many of the snails in North America are hazards to eat unless thoroughly cooked because of parasites. It should also be noted that snails and mussels also are a collection point for any chemicals in the water. I would not recommend using these animals for survival food unless they are a last resort and even then a human can survive a long time without food, but will die a miserable death in a few hours with the right parasite or chemical in their system.

BTW, nice to see someone taking survival seriously. Knowledge is power.

I might have these in my apartment complex as well as at a trail 15 miles away. They don't have the long thorns in the picture though.

I always thought it was strange to find a cactus in Michigan. I'm only going to assume they are not the same as what is on your website. Anyone else have an idea of what they are? They have berries a little larger than my thumb and look exactly like the pictures supplied by the-ultralight-site.com

Take a picture to your local garden center. they should be able to tell you what they are.

It is possible that someone planted a semidomesticated plant at your appartment complex. I am guessing that is what happened, and the plant should be edable.
