Default Graves of George and Eva Gragg

Heading into Hot Springs, NC, I was just north of the turnoff for the Deer Park Mountain Shelter, when I noticed a small clearing to the west of the trail. It turned out to be a tiny cemetery with just 2 graves. Eva Gragg has a handmade headstone and foot stone and was buried in 1940. George has a small commercially made headstone and was buried in 1966. There must be a story behind these graves, but I couldn't find it. Does anyone have any information on these graves? I had trouble using the image uploader and gave up on trying to include photos in this post.

Thanks! Very interesting, especially the link to the book of place names.
