Thread: Maps and SPOT

    Default Maps and SPOT

I am heading to Dalton to connect to and continue my Fall hike.

for people using a Personal Locator Beacon like SPOT or one of the supported apps, there are three sites worth looking at.

    spotwalla.com
    maprogress.com
    trackleaders.com

The first two let users create their own maps before heading out.

The third provides ready made tracks for several existing long trails but not the BMT.

    Visit

    lifeat2mph.com/spot.html

    for mine.

Can you upload a track that already exists from a non spot GPS?

Upload to what? Are you looking for something like http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/ , which will take your GPS track and display it over top of a number of different maps?
I always know where I am. I'm right here.
