Default Tent Camping at Crawfish Valley and Lick Creek?

I will be heading out on June 16, 2008 with some friends to hike VA606 SOBO to Atkins, VA. We plan to tent camp along the way. Can anyone attest to the availability of space for 5-6 tents at Lick Creek and Crawfish Valley? Is the water flowing well in Lick and Reed Creeks?

    Default

I was there Memorial Day the water was running great and I think both tent sites have room for 5-6 tents.
The trail is ever winding and the party moves every night.

    Default Thanks

Cool AT Breeze: Thanks for the info. It was good to see SW VA get some rain, and in particular, snow this past winter. Last year, we hiked from Spivey Gap to 19E, and the water was sparse. I was in Damascus for Trail Days, and a few of the locals said that there was a lot more water this year. Can't wait to get back on the trail next week.

Lightbulb Updating this info by seven years

I stayed there two days ago.
The camping area at Crawfish Valley will easily accommodate six tents. There's plenty of water flowing in the nearby creek.
