Thanks to all who answered my many questions over the past several months. I'm heading to Glacier in 30 minutes to begin hiking the CDT.

Made it to glacier national Park today. Slackpacked the section between two medicine and East glacier.

. All I can say is wow!

Hiked Marias Pass back to E. Glacier today. Unremarkable piece of trail and hard to follow in places but flat and fast....

Finished Glacier today. I went from Red Eagle Lake to Two Medicine - about 26ish miles.. Every day prior my permit was for 13-14 miles which means I had to stop hiking around noon - it doesn't get dark here until almost 10:00 pm so that's a LOT of time just sitting around and not all campsites are NatGeo worthy.... I wanted to have one day where I hiked instead of camped.... Absolutely beautiful park!

Good to hear that you are through Glacier. The Reynolds Creek fire that started yesterday is well to your north. I hope that you are safe through the Bob and points south to the highway.
