i am actually heading back home from a quick jaunt between Kent and Cornwall right now. Most streams were low but flowing.

I'm a bit farther south of the trail down my way the streams are low. It's been dry the past few weeks

If you look for water at the larger brooks/streams and pond areas you should find adequate amounts. Small streams are not running at this point (even though rainfall is near or at average for the year currently) but thats not unusual for August. If there's a doubt, there is no doubt, carry a second liter.

I'm surprised at the reports of dry trail. It was awfully wet and sloppy a few weeks ago on the LT. And plenty of rain in eastern MA over the last week.

Trails aren't dry per se, but a lot of the very small streams that are active early in spring are dry. The larger streams and ponds should have water along with any charted springs.
