Default Trail Magic mid-August in S. PA

We're vacationing in south central PA near the AT in mid-August and want to do some trail magic, maybe near Pine Grove Furnace SP. Do you think there will be any through hikers coming through that time of year? The NOBOs and flipfloppers will probably be long gone, but I'm hoping some SOBOs might be on the trail then. What do you think?

There is a hiker box at the store and at the AT museum. You could leave some canned food, cliff bars, instant coffee packs, snickers bars. Us low budget backpackers would truly appreciate it.

    That's a great idea, thanks!
