Default Thru hike starting 3rd or 4th week of July

52 yr old experienced backpacker going to be doing a sobo and hoping there is someone out there who is thinking the same. Have to many miles alone under my belt hiking and finally starting to admit that it might just be ok to have some company. Can adjust my speed up or down if need be.

Jay my plan is to climb Katahdin 7-17 & I have 4 bed cabin @ Daicey pond reserved that night, right now for only myself ($100); since it was the last option available to spend the night in Baxter. The ranger told me it's only ~2 miles south(on AT) from ranger station. I'm interested in sub-leasing the other 3 bed for $20ea. Beats $30campsite!

You all know that he's talking about the Long Trail, right? Starting at the Canadian border, not at Katahdin.
