Default Public transportation: Damascus to AT Lodge in Millinocket?

I will be starting a SOBO thru hike on July 12-14.
Being new to the east and looking into the best way to get from Damascus area to AT Lodge in Millinocket.
I will be hiking with friends ending up in Damascus on the 5th July. cheaper is better also. I have some days to get there, so bus train etc is OK.
    Thanks

DUPLICATE POST. But get to Boston by plane, train, or bus. Then Concord coach or Greyhound bus from Boston to Bangor, ME, then Cyr bus from Bangor to Medway/Millinocket.

The closest bus station to Damascus is in Marion, VA, 62 trail miles north of Damascus. You could either hike the AT to get there, or take the Creeper and Iron Mountain trail short cut and do it in 30 miles. Or have someone shuttle you.

From Marion you can book a bus ride through to Bangor, ME.

I work at AT Lodge in Millinocket. We meet the bus from Bangor in Medway every night. You can reserve a spot or just show up.

Quick question, my wife and I will be going the opposite way, to Bangor.... does your shuttle schedule support catching a bus to Bangor? thanks for any information...

Yes, there is one bus a day to Bangor, leaves Medway 930am, we can shuttle you there by arrangement.
