A few questions about changing stuff on your profile

Hello I have a few questions. The first is how do you change the picture that is to the left of the screen when I"m commenting or posting? Because right now its just blank for me even though when I go to my profile itself it shows the picture of me. The next question is how do you edit your signature for when you're posting?
