    Default Spring Flowers...

    Hello All!

I'm trying to find specific sections of the A.T. in GA/NC that are can't-miss areas for viewing spring flower blooms...I'm taking my wife on her first overnight hike May 16-17 and really want to impress her with views and flowers (which would make future overnights more likely ; )

Thanks as always for your help!

I remember May as being an absolutely fabulous time for wild flowers hiking around Blood Mountain and north bound. Azaleas, trillium, smaller flowers that I don't remember names of, but May was the month. Good luck with it.

There is a book - "Wildflowers of the Appalachian Trail" that would tell you specifically when they were blooming, what they were, and what section to look for them on.
