Default The Generous Act of a Thru-Hiker Brings Healing, Please Read this Touching Story

I just had to share this Blog post about the story of Nectar, a Thru-hiker who carried one of our fallen soldiers to his final rest.

That ranks up at the top of AT legends with Bill Irwin and grandma Gatewood. Thanks for sharing. Does anyone happen to know Nectar's name.

Yes, I admit I was misty eyed as I read this story. My hats off to Sarah Nectar Maes.

The writer of this story, 'Clever Girl', is a very talented writer. I highly recommend following her Blog. I enjoyed reading her 2013 thru-hike journal, and I have been a fan ever since.

    Sad, and wonderful.

This is a nice dedication to that young man and Nector - also "Papa" - who tried to physically fulfill his son's dream, but instead did it in a way that still counted!
