Off topic, but totally serious. Walmart brand mac and cheese, is better than kraft, and cheaper too.

    Hi,
I'm new to this. What is the topic?
How do I get this out to everybody? People eat this stuff on the trail...

Unless we are dealing with hikers that are mail dropping Mac and cheese for every single meal hikers really are not going to be impacted. Hikers resupplying in stores will find recalled product is already pulled and replaced.

Recalled due to metal pieces??! Sounds heavy. Would have been much more efficient to include cuben fiber pieces.

In all seriousness, I hope this news gets out to people who are on their thru hikes. I know Mac and Cheese is a staple on the trail.

I don't know, I haven't seen anyone eat mac an cheese for a long time. Knorr sides are the go to meals these days.

How about a compromise? I prefer Knorr cheesy bacon macaroni that I buy at Walmart.

Tried that on my last trip and it's not half bad for packaged food.

The only issue might be small stores or hostels that buy from stores to have stuff "on hand", if they don't get the message.

+1 on this and the original powder that you have to mix with milk and butter is better than that squeeze cheese in the foil packets.

Another vote for Wal Mac over Kaft. Hamburger Helper cheezy beefy mac is ok too after a few days out. KFC butter packets help all of the above.
