Anyone take this magazine? I was thinking about it on my iPad, but it's kind of pricey. Is this just for "preppers" or would the average outdoorsman benefit from / enjoy it?

I like it too. There's a real fine line between "prepper" and "outdoorsman". I have no idea which side of the line I'm on. I do like and embody Jim Butcher's quote: "My resume contains a laundry list of skills that were obsolete a couple of centuries ago."

I agree with the "Prepper vs Outdoorsman" comment - I believe that our infrastructure and all the niceties than come with it, is more fragile than we think.

Ever read, One Second After, by Fortschen? That will make you think.

Is this a UK magazine or is there a USA version?

I'm pretty sure this magazine is for rednecks only. To determine if this is for you, take this simple quiz; If your front porch collapsed, how many dogs would bite the dust. If the answer is less than 3, this mag is not for you.

I certainly shall. Um, sooner or later. I have a bookcase now, with books waiting to be read. And a Kindle filled up with several hundred free books. Insert eye-roll emoticon here! All that said, I'm aware of the EMP and it's devastating effects on our systems, and what that would mean to society. I love those sorts of books, been reading them most of my life. What would I do in such a situation? Lots of ideas, some of which may actually be useful.
