:banana Pick the Cover for an Upcoming Eco-Comedy About Hiking

On May 15, Blue River Press will be releasing Nature's Housekeeper, a comedy about a college professor who reads Thoreau and gets a wild hair, resigns, and takes a minimum-wage position as a trail maintenance worker at a state park. But here's the fun part: The publisher is letting the readers pick the cover art. Check out http://primitivarum.weebly.com/natur...sign-poll.html to VOTE and find out more about the book Chris Townsend, author of The Backpacker's Handbook, declared "[ . . . ] had me laughing out loud yet the central tale is moving and intellectually profound" and 10,000+miler Lawton Grinter, author of I Hike, said, "Will leave you in stitches!" Introduction by The Aldo Leopold Foundation.

I selected the cover art one from bottom right. I like it because it is comedic to think logs across a dug-out trail is Nature's Housekeeper.

I read the description at Amazon. I pre-ordered the book.

Now, I think I want to look at Walden.

The first time I looked at Walden I wasn't interested enough to read it.

The "funnest" thing about Nature's Housekeeper is that many thread members will be familiar with the park in which the book takes place!

Also, the best sneak-peak (aside from "pics from the book" on Pinterest) is the quotes page on Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/tag/michael-gurnow
