I just finished a new top quilt I had been working on for a while and wanted to share. I have a basic cutout pattern that I made for it.
I salvaged the goose down from an older gander mountain winter bag with 30 oz of goose down that I bought for 20 bucks from a guy off a local classified add. I only used about half of that down in this project. I would like to make one out of new higher fill power down some day.
I really like this design vs the basic top quilt pattern as this style curls more naturally under your body and makes it very easy to tuck under and get a good seal. I have done DIY projects like this before and have made tents, tarps, dog packs, etc but have never posted anything on a forum so hopefully this works right.
Thanks and feel free to share your own unique quilt projects and designs.
