Default Holiday Sales - REI and elsewhere?

I've been waiting for REI's 20% off sale before purchasing a NeoAir but it seems like the current sale only applies to clothing and footwear. Does anyone know whether REI will have a general 20% off coupon during the holiday season? Or if any other retailers might have one anytime soon? I'm hoping to take advantage of the upcoming colder weather to test the lower range of my sleeping bag with the NeoAir (compared to my Prolite), although of course we have lots of winter left after this cold front comes through ...

Just FYI for anyone looking at the NeoAir XLite: REI has it on sale for 25% off without the need for any coupon code. That's $120 for the regular. I just placed my order. I haven't seen the Neoair as cheap anywhere else and it seems like it hardly ever goes on sale.

So all of a sudden there's a price war on the neo airs. Amazon marked down the regular to $99.94.

As someone prepping for a thru, it looks like there are few other good items on sale... Can anyone comment on either of these deals? Good for a thru? If the feedback is good I'll scoop them up on Friday morning when the sale starts. I prefer to buy new rather than used.

Patagonia sizes are good for tall people, if that's you. I'd look for more loft, though.

I believe that varies by store.

We just got our fall sale catalog with a 20% off any one item coupon on the front, or just use "fallmember" coupon code online. You do have to be a member to use this. Also included an REI outlet "additional 20% off" coupon, same code.

This is the 20% off outlet rei coupon code which is also valid for one full-priced item. We update this page as new codes come out.

For those of you looking for specific gear, try our gear price checker. I just searched for NeoAir XLite and found two merchants selling it for $103

I was in REI in Massachusetts about two weeks ago. The NeoAir X-Lites were now "priced" from $150 to $120. Not a sale. It seems the price of them has gone down substantially. So with a little competitive price shopping, one should be able to find a new one for right around a benjamin.

I paid $100 for my XLite regular on Amazon a couple of weeks ago. even at $100, the margins on these air pads must be enormous. Would be nice if there was more competition but UL pads are a small niche market.
