Parking at Eckville Shelter?

Does anyone know if I can park at the Eckville Shelter for a couple of nights or how I might contact the caretaker who lives there?

No, there's no room for parking there.
However, up the road, where the trail crosses, there is room on both sides of the road.
I believe it is fairly safe (no break-ins lately that I know of) there, even though there are no houses nearby.

But Mick (caretaker) has no room at the shelter for more than his own vehicle. (s)?

There is a huge trail head parking lot just south of there. No issues with vandals as this is well off the beaten path.
