A good ole' thunderstorm does the trick every time. So do barred owls and crickets...then there's Jack in a bottle when all else fails. I call this a win win .

A good day of hiking, a warm camp dinner eaten around a campfire w/ friends, the lapping of waves while camping along a shoreline, the rustling of the fall leaves in a slight wind, and the frogs or crickets are wonderful sleeping aid for me. No doctor ever prescribed a better medicine.

Tried some José Q. Not for me. Also Barred owls and insane frogs. Those didn't work either guess I'm just a light sleeper.

Usually, a long hiking day is sufficient to put me out. Always slept like a rock on the trail, no matter where or weather.

Melatonin for the 1st four nights or so - because I am so excited - and can't get used to the sounds around me... After that, exhaustion sets in, and I sleep much better!

How so? The poster is a long time member with nothing obvious to sell. Am I missing something?
