Could you create a female thru hiker avatar, please? Apparently, people are mistaking me for a guy, because of my avatar, but there isn't a female "thru hiker in planning" available. Thanks!

I think it would be a cool idea, and I think it should be something more than longer hair to distinguish it. If there are any artists out that that could make an avatar file we could use that would be a good idea. My poor, low class taste would probably have me photoshoping a picture from Team Playboy X-treme from eco-challenge.

If someone can come up with a female avatar other then the ones we have then more poser to you. If I don't here something in a few days then frieden please send me a PM and I will edit the one I have and put it up.
I'll see what I can find - I do a lot of graphics work and have bunches of CD's with clipart it will just take me some time to dig through them all.

Thanks. I switched to the "2006 Thru-hiker". That works, too! I'm no graphic artist, so I wouldn't be any help in creating one.
Would these work?

Not sure why, but the BB software reduced the size of the avatars - the originals are 182 x 65 pixels.
Wow, that's one big girl. Nordic? j/k
Not nordic - the only female hiker pic I could find that was recognizable as female when sized for an avatar.
Thank you Frolicking Dinosaurs for the avatar. I played with it a little bit and put it online for others to choose from.Originally Posted by Frolicking Dinosaurs
Frolicking those are great - I went through all my clipart and didn't find much that was a female hiker - lots of male ones though!

What happened to the Avatar Poll?
Whoops. I am glad you reminded me. I removed it and just now set it so donating members can us their own avatars.Originally Posted by veteran
This is on the trail basis. If we do not get any rude or controversy avatars we will leave it up for donating members.
On the same note. I also set it so that only donating members can edit there own post now.
Is that anywhere, anytime? Or are there still some constraints?Originally Posted by attroll

Is it too early to get a "2007 Thru-Hiker" made? I sure would like to have that one!Originally Posted by frieden

PS. They were set to 50 x 50 earlier today and I raised it tonight to 100 x 100 after I realized they were small.
Well I could make one right now but then someone would want one for 2007 and then someone would want one for 2009. They question is where do I set the limit. I am very busy. This site is really moving and keeping me busy. I don't have time right now to make a 2007 avatar. But bring it up again in about three months. Sorry.Originally Posted by Geohabit
