The reviews on my book on Amazon have been interesting. http://tinyurl.com/lbs4b2t

One of the chapters is written in part in my Scots dialect, that is the language in which I think and speak when with my own folks - some readers have struggled with this. It's no more difficult than us Scots trying to follow a Tarantino move or a James Ellroy novel. But I think in hindsight I could have tried something different.

As a visitor and one very interested in politics, I comment on what I see. Some readers have taken this as full-blooded socialism whilst others have seen it as a distraction. I would have been equally frank and forthright if hiking through Scotland. I don't think the social and political commentary is a distraction, but there are other books which are entirely about the AT so do please start there if that's what you want.

Irrespective, if you buy a copy, I look forward to your feedback and comments.
