ive never used a hammock, but the skeeter beeter was the one i was looking at getting, because of the 400 lb weight limit. is it "ready to hang"? or should/would I need to buy extra things?

It's ready to hang. Nothing else needed unless you need a rain fly. It stores in its own bag also.
