Default Section Recomendations for Weekend Trip End of May?

    Hi all.
My dad and I are looking at getting in a quick weekend trip on the IAT within the next few weeks before I myself head out west backpacking for the summer. Any recommendations on a good section for a ~15mi out ~15mi back trail? My buddy and I did a trip 25mi south and back the next day on the Kettle Morraine south section last summer.

You could try the north kettle moraine. Nice wooded trail. You could start around the Parnell tower (taking in the views) hiking south. There are multiple shelters along the way to camp at. But they need to be reserved. You could also start around the Mauthe Lake campground and hike south to the DCA by Kewaskum.
